We feature Epson inkjet printers for dazzling, photographic-quality prints at resolutions up to 2,880 dpi, and up to 64 inches wide by 100 feet long. SMDI uses only genuine Epson Pigmented Inks in our printers, guaranteeing long lasting, fade resistant color. We stock Premium Epson Papers, including glossy, semi-matte, luster and enhanced matte. We also stock canvas and 100% cotton art paper. Fabrics such as water resistant satin cloth and a wide variety of other media are also available. For outdoor signage, we offer vinyl banner material and laminated canvas finishing. Other mounting options are also available. Special media needs and special requests are welcomed.

To get the best results out of our Epson printers, we use the highly regarded ImagePrint Raster Image Processor. This RIP flawlessly converts your digital PSD, JPEG and TIFF files into finished graphics, giving you exactly what you saw on your monitor or proof. The RIP has special color management features that can optimize a print for a variety of lighting conditions, including daylight, tungsten or fluorescent. And, for the fine art photographer, its special B&W printing mode allows for neutral grays or a variety of other tones and tints.

SMDI image scanning services include scanning 35MM slides or negatives, positive or negative film up to 8x10 inches, and reflective flat art up to 11x17 at resolutions up to 6,400 dpi and 48-bits per pixel with our Epson or Nikon scanners. For larger art pieces we offer image capture using high quality digital cameras

For fine art canvas prints, protective coatings applied with a high volume, low pressure spray system, can be ordered in gloss, matte or satin finishes. Custom blends are also available. These coatings are recommended to protect prints from fading, moisture and abrasion. We can also treat paper prints with solvent based coatings.

Our broad range of mounting and framing options include face mounting prints to acrylic, and mounting almost any kind of print to substrates such as sintra, gator board, dibond, aluminum or art board.
